Its after a very long time that I am blogging. And on blogspot, its been nearly an year... or something like that.
I watched the movie "Ali". Completed it just 30 mins back. Great movie, really good soundtracks at the most appropriate moments. The second part of the movie is brilliant. The dialogue delivery is awesome. Will Smith at his best.
I heard this music recently from the movie "Definitely, Maybe". Decent movie. But great soundtracks by 'Clint Mansell'. OK... the important thing to note here is the great track "April (Come she will)" which is aptly the cover song for the album. It just smoothens the flow of those nostalgic feelings, those thoughts, the memories to just ooze out of the back of the dusty old brain. Where they were lying... for a long time. And nobody cared about them... ok.. I do. Dearly. Those were the golden days of my life till now. In college. With friends, friends for life. You never will forget them. I heard the music and decided to get the pics of Manali trip (circa 25-26 Jan 04) converted to soft form and post on the net. Youtube can help you find. Better still, I should just post the address here.

So there we were, rolling over each other in the snow. Or some of us hopping over the rocks to reach the middle of the snowy river. Playing with the camera, trying to get that perfect shot. Or just adoring the serenity... the beauty of the place. No match. I wonder when I will be back there. Enjoying the 'perfect sun' topless in snow. Vying to reach that flag pole first in snow thigh-deep. The wonder years really!
And on the other hand, nostalgia creeps in.. again.. in a different scene this time. Setting changes to NIT-H. Walking down the memory lanes, hand in hand. Trying not to stare at the odd couple that had hands on the waist. And saying nothing too much than required. And then sometimes we have the odd quarrel... once in a while... and we make up too soon enough... sometimes it seems that its not so rosy even in the movies. And then on some days you go and have momos and then the second day she tells you that she wants to go to the canteen with me. And I dont approve of it coz teachers are lurking around the corner and also that paranthas are not so good there. And I dare not take her to Ekta cafe and Tilak dhaba- Dangerous places they are. Comments galore and only a few brave dared to ventured there.
Well it all changed by the time we reached final year. Nescafe attracted every 'beauty and the geek' and not so geeks in the evenings. It was the hip place to be. Sometimes you wonder what was so special there. That coffee for 5 Rs that was not even worth 'chaar ana'. And maggi only Jind used to eat. Well I liked it too... but only sometimes. I remember the best time was that of the examination eves. Tilak was the most hot destination. Aloo Bondas and bunds with some omlettes thrown in there and here. And everyone loved them, savored them as if there was no tomorrow. Exams??? Oh I too forgot in the excitement.
Fun Time guys. Good Night. Sleep Tight. Tomorrow is going to bring New Light. And they might say we were wrong, but we know we were right.
K Club Zindabad!
